SP Brand Rapid Urine hCG Test Cassettes have Internal Quality Controls (QC) within the test. A line appearing in the control region of the test is the positive internal QC. It confirms sufficient specimen volume and correct procedural technique. A clear background is the internal negative QC. If the test is working properly, the background in the result area should be white to light pink and should not interfere with the ability to read the test results. If the control line fails to appear or the background is other than white to light pink, the test is considered invalid and results should not be reported. If this occurs, bring the defective test device to POCT services. The test should be repeated with a new cassette.
